Post: US Stocks Close Higher as Major Indexes Gain

Doha: US stock indexes closed higher at the end of trading Tuesday: US stock indexes experienced gains with the S and P 500, Nasdaq Composite, and Dow Jones Industrial Average all closing higher. According to Qatar News Agency, the S and P 500 index increased by 34.59 points, or 0.58 percent, ending the session at 5,970.53. The Nasdaq Composite saw a rise of 157.54 points, or 0.82 percent, closing at 19,400.15. Meanwhile, the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 219.19 points, or 0.52 percent, to close at 42,524.67.
