New York: Major US stock indexes closed higher at the end of the Friday trading session, marking a positive conclusion to the week. According to Qatar News Agency, the Dow Jones Industrial Average saw an increase of 601.41 points, or 1.4%, bringing it to a total of 43,840.91 points. The Standard and Poor's 500 Index experienced a rise of 92.93 points, or 1.6%, reaching 5,954.50 points by the session's end. Similarly, the Nasdaq Composite Index, which predominantly features technology stocks, added 302.86 points, or 1.6%, culminating at 18,847.28 points.
