New York: Wall Street's major stock indices closed mixed at the close of trading, with the S and P 500 index ending the session down 4.97 points, or 0.06 percent, to close at 5,907.20. The Nasdaq Composite index fell 62.11 points, or 0.32 percent, to 19,113.77. Conversely, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 27.26 points, or 0.06 percent, to 42,242.99. According to Qatar News Agency, despite the flat close Friday, US indexes had their strongest monthly gain since November 2023.
