US Treasury announced today that it intends to offer a new amount of long-term bonds for subscription next week, with a total value of $183 billion. The ministry said in a statement that it will offer two-year bonds worth $69 billion, and five-year bonds worth $70 billion, and will conclude the offering week by selling seven-year bonds worth $44 billion. The Treasury is scheduled to announce the results of the subscription for two-year bonds next Monday, and five- and seven-year bonds next Tuesday. Last month, the ministry sold two-year bonds worth $69 billion, and five-year bonds worth $70 billion, and concluded the offering week by selling seven-year bonds worth $44 billion. Demand for two-year and five-year bonds was slightly below average, and for seven-year bonds above average.
