Doha: English Premier League club Wolves announced Tuesday the signing of Cameroonian defender Jackson Tchatchoua from Italy's Hellas Verona on a five-year contract, with an option for a one-year extension. Tchatchoua, 23, spent two seasons in Serie A and is seen as a strong addition to Wolves' back line due to his versatility in playing both right and left back. According to Qatar News Agency, last season, he made 43 appearances for club and country, helping Verona stay in Italy's topflight and contributing to Cameroon's qualification for the Africa Cup of Nations. He finished the campaign with two goals and three assists before making the move to Molineux for his Premier League debut. Tchatchoua earned his first cap for Cameroon during the 2024 World Cup qualifiers in June.
