Doha: The Pakistani army announced Friday that 11 militants were killed in two military operations carried out by its forces in the north and southwest of the country. The army reported that its forces successfully repelled an attempt by an armed group to storm a security checkpoint in the Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, resulting in the deaths of seven militants and four regular soldiers.
According to Qatar News Agency, the army further elaborated that four militants were also killed during a separate military operation aimed at tracking down militants in the southwestern districts of Balochistan province. The operations highlight ongoing efforts by the Pakistani military to combat militant activities in these regions.
