Gaza city: 14 Palestinians were martyred and several others wounded Monday as a result of airstrikes and shelling carried out by the Israeli occupation forces on several areas in the Gaza Strip.
According to Qatar News Agency, medical sources said that two citizens were martyred, and 11 others were injured as a result of the Israeli occupation forces' shelling of an apartment near Al Quds Open University in the Al Nasr neighborhood, west of Gaza City.
A Palestinian citizen was also martyred in an Israeli shelling of a house in the Al Sabra neighborhood, south of the city.
Meanwhile, six citizens, including a man and three of his children, were martyred in an Israeli shelling of a displaced persons' tent in the town of Al Qarara, north of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.
Four citizens, including children and women, were martyred in another Israeli airstrike on a tent west of the city, and another citizen was martyred in an Israeli shelling of the Al Amal neighborhood in the city.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced in its latest statistics that the death toll in the Gaza Strip since the start of the Israeli aggression on October 7, 2023, has risen to 58,026 martyrs, in addition to 138,520 injured.
Many victims were also found under the rubble of destroyed homes and in the streets, amid the difficulty of rescue crews reaching them due to the intensity of the bombing and the dangerous conditions.
