Doha: French authorities found two bodies on a beach in the north of the country, and rescued 230 migrants who were trying to cross the Strait of Dover to England on Sunday. The first body was found on Terminus Beach in the city of Berck, while the second one was found around two hours later 300 meters away.
According to Qatar News Agency, French authorities believed that the two victims were migrants who tried to board a boat. At the same time, 41 people who tried to cross the Channel without success were also rescued.
The same day witnessed several attempts to cross the Strait, resulting in the rescue of 230 migrants at sea, according to French maritime authorities.
