Doha: AC Milan announced that Algerian international midfielder Ismael Bennacer has joined Dinamo Zagreb on loan.
According to Qatar News Agency, the club stated that Bennacer's transfer to Dinamo Zagreb is temporary, with an option for the Croatian club to make the deal permanent. Bennacer, who joined Milan in 2019, was instrumental in the team's Italian Championship win in 2022. However, his role diminished significantly, resulting in only six Serie A appearances last season.
Earlier this year, Milan loaned the 27-year-old midfielder to French club Marseille during the winter transfer window. During his stint in France, Bennacer made 12 appearances in the domestic league but did not score any goals.
Despite the closure of the summer transfer window last Monday in Europe's top five leagues, the Croatian window remains open until tomorrow, providing an opportunity for this transfer to take place.
