Doha:Committee: The Attorneys Admission Committee convened today under the leadership of Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi, the Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting's agenda included various significant matters. Notably, three new lawyers took their legal oath after finishing their training. The Committee also reviewed applications for registering individuals from equivalent legal professions and added new names to the roll of trainee lawyers. Additionally, applications from two candidates aiming to complete their training for legal practice were considered.
In terms of lawyer registration progression, the Committee approved the transfer of one lawyer from the roll of practicing lawyers before the Court of First Instance to the Court of Appeal. Similarly, another lawyer's registration was moved from the Court of Appeal to the Court of Cassation.
The meeting also addressed regulatory and developmental issues related to the legal profession and reviewed reports from its subcommittees. HE Al Mohannadi congratulated the newly sworn-in lawyers, emphasizing the importance of upholding professional ethics and the legal profession's mission to maintain the rule of law and justice.
The session concluded with HE Al Mohannadi reaffirming the Ministry of Justice's dedication to enhancing the legal field, focusing on training young professionals, and creating an enabling legislative environment aligned with the Qatar National Vision 2030 and the Third National Development Strategy.
