Doha: Boursa Kuwait closed higher on Monday, with its All Share Index gaining 56.87 points, or 0.65%, to settle at 8,750.69 points.
According to Qatar News Agency, a total of 257 million shares changed hands in 21,667 cash transactions worth KWD 69 million (approximately $224.5 million). The Main Market Index rose 271.36 points, or 3.07%, to close at 9,105.65 points, with 161.6 million shares traded in 12,339 transactions worth KWD 32 million (approximately $104.1 million).
The Premier Market Index also saw an increase, rising 14.22 points, or 0.16%, to 9,129.36 points. In this segment, 95.3 million shares were traded in 9,328 transactions with a total value of KWD 37 million (approximately $120.3 million).
Meanwhile, the Main 50 Index advanced 7.37 points, or 0.08%, to close at 9,779.43 points. In this index, 120 million shares were traded in 8,089 transactions worth KWD 24.2 million (approximately $78.7 million).
