Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani chaired the Cabinet's regular meeting held Wednesday morning at the Amiri Diwan. Following the meeting, HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi provided insights into the discussions and decisions made.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Cabinet reviewed and approved a draft law amending certain provisions of Law No. (3) of 2016 concerning the registration of births and deaths. Additionally, the Cabinet approved multiple draft memoranda of understanding (MoUs) aimed at enhancing cooperation in various sectors with multiple countries. These include MoUs in the fields of youth and sports with the Republic of Cyprus and the Republic of Lebanon, mutual recognition of seafarer certificates with the United Republic of Tanzania, and historical documentation and archives management with the Oman National Records and Archive Authority.
The Cabinet also approved the draft second executive program of the cooperation protocol with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in the field of youth for the years 2025-2027. Concluding the meeting, the Cabinet reviewed four reports and made appropriate decisions. The reports covered the activities of the Competition Protection and Anti-Monopoly Practices Committee for 2023-2024, Qatar's participation in the Arab Labor Conference in Cairo, the Fourth Tashkent International Forum in Uzbekistan, and the 7th session of the Qatar-Kazakhstan Joint Higher Committee in Astana.
