Beijing: China announced today that it has expelled a Japanese fishing vessel for illegally entering Chinese territorial waters.
According to Qatar News Agency, China Coast Guard (CCG) spokesperson Liu Dejun stated that a Japanese fishing vessel was warned and expelled after it illegally entered the territorial waters of China's Diaoyu Dao region. Xinhua news agency reported the incident, highlighting the swift response from the CCG.
The spokesperson further explained that the CCG had implemented the necessary control measures in accordance with the law. They issued warnings and turned the ship away, underscoring the position that Diaoyu Dao and its islands are integral parts of Chinese territory.
The spokesperson emphasized that the CCG will continue to conduct rights-protection law enforcement operations in the waters of Diaoyu Dao. This is part of their ongoing efforts to firmly safeguard China's territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests.
