Sirius: The Qatari team participating in the 2025 International Junior Science Olympiad achieved a significant accomplishment by winning two bronze medals at the 22nd edition of the Olympiad, held in Sirius, Russia, from November 23 to December 2.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Qatari team consisted of six students from public and private schools. They were accompanied by several academic supervisors from the Science Department of the Educational Guidance Administration at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
The supervisors oversaw the scientific and administrative aspects of the Olympiad, participated in question discussions, translated tests, and attended the marking process, as well as meetings held in conjunction with the competition.
This achievement reflects the efforts of the students and the support of their families and schools, in addition to the interest of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in nurturing scientific talents and enhancing their international participation, which contributes to preparing a generation capable of innovation and global competition, in order to achieve the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.
