Post: China Sets Ambitious Goals for New-type Battery Industry

Doha:China has released a strategic development plan for its new-type battery industry, focusing on industrial growth, technological advancements, and improved product quality. The plan outlines the large-scale implementation of all-solid-state batteries and aims for a cycle life of 15,000 cycles for long-life lithium batteries by the year 2030.

According to Qatar News Agency, the plan emphasizes steady growth in the industry and aims to enhance innovation capabilities across the entire industrial chain. It includes objectives to achieve breakthroughs in advanced electrode materials, new electrolytes, and high-end auxiliary materials, as well as significant progress in developing new battery systems.

Additionally, the plan sets a target for leading enterprises to reduce product defect rates to the parts-per-billion level by 2030. It also advocates for accelerated integration and innovation in new-type battery technologies, clean energy, and end-use applications. Furthermore, it seeks closer integration of international trade and investment within the industry.
