Coalition Pledges Strong Response to Houthi Threats Against Saudi Arabia

Doha: The Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen announced that it will respond with 'unprecedented force' to any attempts targeting Saudi Arabia, its citizens, national assets, or Yemen's sovereignty.

According to Qatar News Agency, the coalition's command issued a statement declaring that recent remarks made by the Houthi group against Saudi Arabia are attempts to divert attention from their violations against the Yemeni populace. These remarks were seen as attempts by the Houthis to shift focus from the economic hardships and humanitarian suffering imposed on the Yemeni people, extending these issues to the wider region and neighboring countries, while concealing the tribal and societal opposition they face.

Brig. Gen. Turki Al Maliki, the coalition's official spokesperson, described the Houthi remarks as a continuation of their escalation and hostile behavior, aiming to undermine regional and international security. He emphasized that the coalition is prepared to respond decisively, adhering to international humanitarian law, against any threats to Saudi Arabia, its citizens, or its national assets, and any violations of Yemen's sovereignty.
