Department of Meteorology Warns of Strong Winds and High Sea

Doha: The Department of Meteorology has issued a warning regarding strong winds and high sea conditions. The weather inshore until 6:00 pm on Tuesday is predicted to be hot to very hot during the day, with slight dust to blowing dust at certain places intermittently, accompanied by some cloud cover. The meteorology department highlighted the expectation of strong winds in certain areas during the daytime.

According to Qatar News Agency, offshore conditions will also include slight dust at times and some cloudiness, with warnings of strong winds and high seas. Inshore winds are expected to be westerly-northwesterly at 10-20 KT, potentially gusting up to 30 KT in certain locations during the daytime. Offshore winds are forecasted to be westerly-northwesterly at 10-20 KT, with gusts reaching up to 29 KT at times.

The sea state inshore is anticipated to be between 2-4 FT, possibly rising to 5 FT at times, while offshore conditions will range from 3-6 FT, with peaks up to 9 FT at times. Visibility inshore is projected to be between 4-9 km, potentially reducing to 3 km or less in some areas during the daytime, whereas offshore visibility will remain between 4-9 km.
