Doha Institute for Graduate Studies Organizes 8th Career Fair

Doha: The Deanship of Student Affairs at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (DI) organized the eighth edition of the DI Career Fair on Monday with the participation of more than 40 organizations from the public and private sectors in the country. The event, held annually, was opened by Dr. Abdelwahab El Affendi, President of the DI, and Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Ibrahim Fraihat.

According to Qatar News Agency, the DI career fair serves as a platform for the Institute's students and graduates to explore significant opportunities and vacancies in the Qatari labor market. It facilitates direct communication with participating entities, allowing students to inquire about the nature of the opportunities provided and review available vacancies and training relevant to their future career plans.

Nasema Abdeen, Director of the Communication and External Relations Department at the DI, highlighted the fair's role in enhancing communication between students, graduates, and the Qatari labor market. The event allows participants to understand the market's requirements and needs, offering valuable training opportunities and showcasing the specializations, academic programs, and training offers by the Institute.

Aliaa Chebaro, Career Advisor and Administrative Supervisor of the Deanship of Student Affairs at the DI, explained that the Career Advising Office aims to equip students with the necessary tools to explore the Qatari labor market. The office aids in skill development and connects students with job opportunities that align with their qualifications and abilities.

Chebaro also noted the participation of more than 40 entities at this year's fair, representing sectors such as education, business, journalism and media, services, social and volunteer work, and technology. This participation reflects the range of opportunities available to students and graduates.

On the sidelines of the exhibition, several workshops and events were organized, including the "Employment Policy at the Ministry of Justice" workshop. Ernst and Young also presented a workshop on their work experience, and another was held on guidance and mentoring for sending employees on scholarships for postgraduate studies.
