Egyptian Foreign Minister Engages in Diplomatic Talks Following US-Iran MoU


Cairo: Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, in two separate phone calls, engaged with his Iranian and Pakistani counterparts, Abbas Araghchi and Mohammad Ishaq Dar, to discuss regional developments following the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran.



According to Qatar News Agency, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry released a statement emphasizing that Abdelatty highlighted to his Iranian counterpart the importance of the recent MoU in reducing tensions and preventing further instability in the region. He expressed hope that the agreement would mark a significant turning point in enhancing security and stability.



The Iranian Foreign Minister acknowledged Egypt’s role in facilitating negotiations and overcoming challenges that previously hindered progress, thereby contributing to the conditions necessary for the MoU’s realization.



In his conversation with the Pakistani Foreign Minister, Abdelatty stressed the importance of ongoing coordination and dialogue to ensure the MoU’s implementation and to work towards a final agreement that considers all parties’ interests. This collaboration aims to strengthen diplomatic efforts and achieve long-term security and stability in the region.
