Foreign Ministers of Egypt and Sudan Meet to Discuss Sudan’s Developments

Cairo: Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty met today with his visiting Sudanese counterpart, Mohieddin Salem, to discuss the latest developments in Sudan. During the meeting, Abdelatty affirmed Egypt's unwavering support for Sudan's unity, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national institutions. He also rejected the establishment of any parallel entities.

According to Qatar News Agency, Abdelatty stressed the importance of reaching a humanitarian truce to pave the way for a sustainable ceasefire and the resumption of the political process. He emphasized the need for ensuring humanitarian access to affected areas, respecting the principle of Sudanese ownership of the political solution, and the significance of the Quartet's efforts to support stability and end the conflict.

The Sudanese Foreign Minister, Mohieddin Salem, outlined the efforts undertaken by his government to address the current challenges. He highlighted the importance of international cooperation and support in overcoming the difficulties Sudan is facing.
