Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani has issued Amiri Decision No. 27 of 2025, inaugurating the Qatar Award for Localization in the Private Sector. The decision was announced on Monday, marking a significant step towards enhancing job localization efforts within the private sector.
According to Qatar News Agency, the award is designed to stimulate competition among private sector entities by acknowledging those that achieve nationalization targets and contribute to Qatar's national vision. It also aims to recognize outstanding citizens, exceptional talents, visionary leaders, and innovative pioneers in the private sector.
The decision mandates the formation of a Board of Trustees within the Ministry of Labor. This board will manage the award, establish its criteria, define its categories and levels, and outline the necessary procedures for its implementation. The new law is effective immediately and will be published in the official gazette.
