Amman: King Abdullah II of Jordan discussed on Monday, during a phone call with French President Emmanuel Macron, the latest developments in the region, particularly in Gaza Strip and West Bank.
According to Qatar News Agency, during the call, the Jordanian King stressed the need to intensify international efforts to push for an end to the war on Gaza and to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to mitigate the crisis. He reaffirmed Jordan's rejection of Israeli plans to consolidate its occupation of Gaza, expand military control there, and extend settlements in the West Bank.
He also emphasized the importance of supporting the Palestinian people in achieving their legitimate rights and establishing their independent state in accordance with the two-state solution.
The call further addressed the importance of supporting Syria and Lebanon in safeguarding their security, stability, and territorial sovereignty.
