Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received a phone call on Tuesday from HE President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. The conversation centered around the recent Iranian attack on Al-Udeid Air Base, highlighting regional tensions and diplomatic concerns.
According to Qatar News Agency, HE Egyptian President expressed his country's solidarity with Qatar, strongly condemning the attack as a violation of Qatar's sovereignty, airspace, and international law, including the UN Charter. He emphasized Egypt's rejection of any aggression that threatens Qatar's security and the region's stability, urging HH the Amir to pursue diplomatic avenues to address the situation.
In response, HH the Amir thanked HE Egyptian President for his supportive stance and solidarity with Qatar, recognizing the significance of fraternal relations between the two nations in addressing regional challenges.
