Jerusalem:Around 500 Israeli colonists entered Al-Aqsa Mosque on Wednesday under the protection of Israeli occupation police, marking the fifth day of the Jewish holiday of Sukkot.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that the group was led by Knesset member Moshe Feiglin.
The incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque have been ongoing during the Jewish holiday of Sukkot, which started on September 26 and will conclude on October 2.
Data from the Jerusalem Governorate indicates that over 40,661 Israeli colonists have entered Al-Aqsa Mosque from the beginning of the year until the end of August 2026. Additionally, approximately 800 orders banning Jerusalem residents from the mosque were issued from the start of the year until early September.
