Damascus: Israeli occupation forces conducted artillery shelling around Bat Al-Warda hill near Beit Jinn in western Damascus countryside on Saturday, with three artillery shells landing around the hill, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) said, noting that no casualties were reported.
According to Qatar News Agency, the attack followed shelling of the same area on Friday, when two shells landed on agricultural land without causing injuries. The Israeli occupation army continues to violate the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through repeated incursions into southern Syria, raids on civilian homes and detentions, land-leveling operations, and artillery attacks.
Syria has called on the international community to assume its responsibilities and compel Israel to fully withdraw from southern Syria.
