Israeli Forces Renew Incursion into Southern Syria’s Quneitra Countryside

Quneitra: Israeli occupation forces renewed Friday their incursion into a number of villages and towns in the Quneitra countryside, southern Syria. The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported that an Israeli occupation patrol consisting of three vehicles penetrated the eastern town of Samdaniya Friday evening, setting up a checkpoint south of the town on the road leading to the town of Al Ajraf. This coincided with reconnaissance flights over the area.

According to Qatar News Agency, earlier Friday, an Israeli occupation army force advanced toward the town of Ruwaihinah in the southern Quneitra countryside, stopping in the middle of the town and withdrawing after half an hour. An Israeli occupation force consisting of seven military vehicles penetrated this morning into the village of Abdin and the outskirts of the village of Koya in the Yarmouk Basin area in the western Daraa countryside.

The Israeli occupation forces continue their repeated violations of Syrian territorial sovereignty, in violation of the 1974 Disengagement of Forces Agreement, international law, and Security Council resolutions. They repeatedly carry out airstrikes and ground incursions into the Quneitra countryside. Syria condemns the Israeli occupation's attacks and calls on the international community to take a firm stance to stop them.
