Israeli Occupation Deliberately Disrupts Gaza Humanitarian Corridors, Says Turkish President

Ankara: The promises made by the Israeli occupation to deliver life-saving humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip are not being implemented at a time when humanitarian corridors to the enclave are deliberately disrupted, said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in press remarks Sunday.

According to Qatar News Agency, Erdogan stressed the urgency of delivering aid to the enclave as a matter of utmost importance. He pointed out that 600 trucks laden with humanitarian aid are supposed to pass daily to the Strip, but this has not been implemented.

Turkey's 17th "Goodness Ship", laden with humanitarian aid, has arrived at Egypt's Al Arish Port, yet humanitarian corridors into the enclave are deliberately impeded, Erdogan clarified, adding that his country continues to provide assistance to Gaza at the highest level.

He said Turkey is preparing to send prefabricated homes (caravans) to Gaza, noting that through these homes, the highest level of facilities will be provided for the region.

In a separate context, Erdogan highlighted that Turkey cannot remain silent and just watch the incidents unfolding in Sudan, stressing that his country will continue its diplomatic efforts to achieve peace and security there.
