Doha: General Manager of the Cultural Village Foundation - Katara Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti inaugurated on Wednesday the 10th edition of the Mahaseel Festival. The Festival is organized by Katara in cooperation with the Department of Agricultural Affairs at the Ministry of Municipality to support domestic agricultural production and enhance food security in Qatar.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Festival will continue until the fourth day of Eid Al Fitr with the participation of 33 local farms and three national companies, including two dairy companies and a poultry company. Additionally, a number of nurseries will display a variety of plants and flowers, and there will be special pavilions for the participation of productive families offering a range of popular foods.
During the Mahaseel Festival, a rich experience for visitors will be offered through direct shopping from local farms, while preserving the traditional form of the market, head of the Festival Salman Mohammed Al Nuaimi said in statements.
It is worth noting that the Festival provides a unique opportunity for visitors to purchase fresh agricultural products and high-quality national products, in a distinctive cultural and heritage atmosphere that reflects the Festival's vision of promoting the culture of consuming local products.
