QM Announces Ramadan’s Series of Activities and Events

Doha: Qatar Museums (QM) has announced an exciting series of activities and events this Ramadan, allowing visitors to experience the rich traditions of Ramadan and participate in a variety of interactive experiences for all ages.

According to Qatar News Agency, Qatar Museums' Archeology Department will host open days for the public to explore the archeology sites of Ain Mohammed and Mesaika from March 1 to 15. This initiative allows participants to engage with archaeologists, gain hands-on experience, and witness discoveries as they happen.

The Museum of Islamic Art will feature a Ramadan Escape Room on Tuesdays and Thursdays, where visitors can explore different facets of Islamic scholarship, including calligraphy, Islamic science and inventions, astronomy, and art objects.

On March 25, Planet Kids Club will present "Ramadan Stories for Bedtime" by Azhar Abdelrahman, aimed at children aged 5 to 11. Additionally, the National Museum of Qatar will host a storytelling session on March 6 titled "Khamis and Hares Dish" for children 12 years and younger, along with a live performance by Musahar.

The 321 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum will feature the 321 Ramadan Walking Challenge on March 10, encouraging families and individuals to stay active by tracking their daily steps. The challenge includes a leaderboard to showcase progress.

Liwan Design Studio and Labs will host a workshop titled "Liwan for Good" on March 12, supporting a charitable cause. Meanwhile, Dadu, the Children's Museum of Qatar, in partnership with Baladna, will offer "Dadu X Baladna: Ramadan Journey Through the Cosmos" on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

From March 13 to 15, a Garangao Weekend titled "Dadu X Baladna: Garangao at Frjan Dadu" will feature workshops including jewellery-making, fanous decoration, and Garangao bag creation, along with storytelling sessions.

Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art will host "Ramadan Night" on March 13, offering traditional performances by school groups, art workshops, interactive stations, and live culinary experiences.

QM's Tasweer Photo Festival will hold a Ghabga Night on March 19, featuring a talk by Qatari photographer Moudhi Alhajri. The event will provide an opportunity for photographers and creatives to connect, exchange ideas, and celebrate the spirit of the season.
