Katara:The Cultural Village Foundation has launched the Katara International Academy, a new initiative aimed at enhancing education, training, and capacity building. This academy draws upon Katara's cultural and professional expertise to develop programs that cater to the needs of individuals and institutions.
According to Qatar News Agency, the launch event was held at Building 15 in Katara, attended by officials, academics, and experts. Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, General Manager of the Cultural Village Foundation and Chairman of the Katara International Academy Board, described the launch as a milestone in the Foundation's journey, emphasizing the Academy's role in human capacity building and professional skills development through cultural and educational integration.
Dr. Al Sulaiti highlighted the Academy's vision to create comprehensive educational pathways that address practical needs, aiming to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and its application. The Academy aspires to be a leading platform for cultural and professional education in Qatar and the region.
Dr. Hassan Abdullah Al Mannai, Director General of the Katara International Academy, stated that the Academy is founded on culture and its integration with science, offering vocational training and academic education tracks. Recent partnerships with the National University of Malaysia and the Al-Adasa Media Network are set to enhance the Academy's mission by developing curricula and courses grounded in both academic and vocational principles.
The Academy plans to offer specialized courses for children on traditional cultural practices and courses for girls focusing on empowerment and leadership. Dr. Mohammed Khalid Al Hajri, Deputy Director General, explained the Academy's process of designing programs based on desired outcomes, ensuring that training is aligned with specific skills and measurable results. The Academy also collaborates with organizations to implement tailored training programs and career development pathways.
