Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse concluded trading on Monday with the All Share Index dipping by 1.61 points to settle at 8,846.45 points, marking a 0.02 percent decrease.
According to Qatar News Agency, a total of 303.3 million shares were traded, amounting to a value of KWD 89.3 million, which is approximately USD 291 million, across 22,016 transactions. The Main Market Index saw a decline of 14.78 points, reaching 9,420.82 points, a 0.16 percent drop. This change involved the trade of 169 million shares through 13,035 transactions, valued at KWD 41.6 million, or about USD 135.5 million.
In contrast, the Premier Market Index experienced a slight gain, rising by 1.10 points to 9,183.34 points, a marginal increase of 0.01 percent. This movement was the result of 134.3 million shares changing hands in 8,981 transactions, with a total value of KWD 47.6 million, or roughly USD 155.1 million.
The Bourse Main 50 Index, however, dropped 54.67 points to 11,255.90 points, a 0.48 percent decrease. The index saw a stock volume of 131.7 million shares transacted in 9,414 deals, with a value of KWD 31.7 million, equating to approximately USD 103.3 million.
