Kuwait Bourse Records Decline as All Share Index Falls

Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Wednesday with the All Share Index losing 79.54 points, settling at 8528.00 points, marking a decrease of 0.92 percent. A total of 901.8 million shares were traded, generating a value of KWD 136 million, which is approximately USD 444.7 million, across 39,703 transactions.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Main Market Index experienced an increase, gaining 26.07 points to reach 7399.51 points, an increase of 0.35 percent. This was achieved through the trading of 737.4 million shares across 29,465 transactions, with a total value of KWD 78.6 million, roughly USD 257 million.

The Premier Market Index, however, saw a decline of 109.84 points, closing at 9230.98 points, a drop of 1.18 percent. The trading involved 164.4 million shares through 10,238 transactions, valued at KWD 57.4 million, approximately USD 187.7 million.

In contrast, the Main 50 Index slightly decreased by 2.97 points, reaching 7424.11 points, a decrease of 0.04 percent. This occurred through the trading of 520.4 million shares in 17,791 deals, with a value of KWD 53 million, or roughly USD 173.3 million.
