Kuwait Bourse Records Significant Decline in Trading Session

Kuwait City: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Thursday with the All Share Index experiencing a loss of 111.94 points, settling at 8156.56 points, marking a decrease of 1.35 percent. The trading session saw a total of 425 million shares exchanged, valued at KWD 112.8 million, which is approximately USD 345.16 million, across 26,895 transactions.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Main Market Index also faced a decline, dropping by 71.35 points to 6971.03 points, which is a decrease of 1.01 percent. This segment of the market witnessed 183.6 million shares traded through 11,793 transactions, with a total value of KWD 22.4 million, equivalent to around USD 68.5 million.

The Premier Market Index recorded a loss of 127.59 points, closing at 8855.30 points, down by 1.42 percent. The trading volume for this index was 241.4 million shares, conducted via 15,102 transactions, with a total value reaching KWD 90.3 million, or roughly USD 276.3 million.

Additionally, the bourse's Main 50 Index decreased by 140.66 points, ending at 7072.26 points, a decline of 1.95 percent. This drop occurred through a stock volume of 148.7 million shares, completed in 7,206 deals, with a value of KWD 15.3 million, approximately USD 46.8 million.
