Kuwait’s Bader Al-Dhiyab Elected by Acclimation as AHF President

Cairo: The Asian Handball Federation (AHF) announced on Tuesday that Kuwait's Bader Al-Dhiyab was elected by acclimation as president of the federation for the term 2025-2029. Al-Dhiyab, who currently serves as Vice President of the International Handball Federation (IHF) and Treasurer of the AHF, has been a prominent figure in the handball community.

According to Qatar News Agency, elections will be held during the AHF general assembly scheduled for next December in Cairo, Egypt. These elections will determine the first vice president, the AHF representative in the IHF, four vice presidents, secretary-general, treasurer, four members of the AHF board of directors, and a female member of the board.

President of the Qatar Handball Association Ahmed Al Shaabi holds the position of AHF vice president for the current term 2021-2025, and his continuation in a leadership role within the organization will be decided in the upcoming elections.
