Tripoli: President of Libya's Presidential Council, Mohamed Al Menfi, and UN Secretary-General's Special Representative for Libya, Hanna Tetteh, engaged in discussions regarding the latest developments in Libya's political and constitutional process. The meeting aimed to address crucial aspects of Libya's ongoing transition.
According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions centered on proposals from the Advisory Committee and the (6+6) Committee, highlighting security and stability issues. The Presidential Council's role in safeguarding these areas amidst current challenges was also a key point of focus.
Tetteh presented the UN mission's plan, which emphasizes supporting the political process and enhancing dialogue among Libyan parties. The plan aims to establish a clear legal and constitutional framework to successfully conclude Libya's transitional phases.
Additionally, both parties discussed the preparations for the forthcoming UN Security Council briefing, which will cover political and security developments in Libya.
