Lusail: Ahead of the Formula 1 Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix 2025 (F1 Qatar GP 2025), the Lusail International Circuit (LIC) has launched the Qatar GP Educational Tour (QGET). This initiative aims to empower youth by highlighting the LIC's role in advancing motorsport in Qatar and offering new avenues for active engagement within its community.
According to Qatar News Agency, the tour is designed to immerse students in the excitement and innovation of motorsport. It provides a deeper understanding of the circuit's significance beyond hosting global championships, fostering a passion for motorsport among the younger generation. This aligns with the broader objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030, which seeks to transform Qatar into an advanced society capable of achieving sustainable development and ensuring a high standard of living for its people.
The educational tour commenced on Sept. 25, 2025, at Meltqaa, the student center of Qatar Foundation's Education City, and will continue visiting various universities and schools across the nation until Nov. 15, 2025, under the theme: From the Circuit to Your University. Through interactive experiences, including a Virtual Reality Pit Stop Challenge, technical activities, competitions, and photo opportunities, students will engage directly with the world of Formula.
The initiative underscores the educational value of motorsport by connecting concepts of technology, innovation, and practical application, delivering them directly to students. As part of QGET, students will have the opportunity to engage in an interactive simulation using virtual reality technology that replicates LIC to scale. They will explore the new design of the Formula 1 Show Car for F1 Qatar GP 2025 and experience the sensation of being on one of only two circuits worldwide hosting the three major global motorsport championships, namely Formula 1, MotoGP, and the Qatar 1812 km Endurance Race.
Furthermore, students will engage in a series of interactive activities, including quizzes, tests, and challenges, broadening their knowledge not only about LIC but also about the structure of Formula 1 teams and the technical aspects behind their races. F1 Qatar GP 2025 will take place from Nov. 28 to 30, 2025, at LIC.
