Spectacular Conclusion to 3rd Round of Longines Hathab Equestrian Tour in Doha

Doha: The third round of the ninth Qatar Equestrian Tour 2025 (Longines Hathab) wound up on Saturday at the Qatar Equestrian Federation (QEF) Indoor Arena. The event was organized by QEF in partnership with Al Shaqab, a member of Qatar Foundation, with strong participation from the nation's top riders across multiple categories.

According to Qatar News Agency, in the dressage competitions, Sarah Al Muhasna clinched the title in the Preliminary Test with a score of 67.738, while Mona Mohammed Hammoudi won the Preliminary Test-Level 2 with 71.459 points. Mohammed Faisal Al Marri secured first place in the youth category for the Preliminary Test-Level 2 with 69.417 points, and Abdullah Khalid Al Jalandani topped the Medium Tour-Level 1 Dressage with 72.942 points. The winners were crowned by dressage judges Mariam Al Jaida and Federico Bentes, alongside Mohammed Al Merri, Chairman of the Facilities and Logistics Committee for the championship.

In the Future Riders 90 cm category, Sultan Jassim Al Suwaidi took first place with a time of 23.23 seconds on the horse Violet, followed by Salman Faisal Al Marri in second at 25.62 seconds on Soul Rebel, and Ali Omar Al Ansari in third at 25.91 seconds riding Nikita. The winners were awarded by Abdullah Al Qashouti, Chairman of the Media and Live Broadcast Committee of the Longines Hathab Championship.

The Silver Tour 130 cm featured powerful contest, with Hussein Saeed Hidan snagging first place in a time of 42.27 seconds on Vihibi, followed by Saeed Hamad Jumaa at 45.89 seconds on Diesel, and Ibrahim Youssef Al Mahmoud in third at 47.63 seconds on Costa. The awards were handed over by HE Ambassador of the French Republic to the State of Qatar Arnaud Pescheux.

In the Diamond Tour 150 cm with Jump-Off, Khalid Al Eid clinched first place in 71.21 seconds on Q-Line, Mohammed Saeed Hidan finished second in 64.98 seconds on Quick Nick, and Hamad Nasser Al Qadi took third in 66.95 seconds on Edison. The winners were crowned by Championship Director, Abdullah Al Merri.

For his part, Vice Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Ali bin Yousef Al Rumaihi, emphasized the competition's intensity across all categories, whether in dressage or show jumping. Al Rumaihi noted that these advanced levels underscore the fact that the riders are highly primed for upcoming QEF-organized tournaments, both domestically and regionally. He highlighted the importance of maintaining this standard of performance and using these championships to hone the skills of young riders, fostering a spirit of challenge and commitment, ultimately contributing to the elevation of equestrian sports in Qatar.
