Doha:The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) has announced that applications for the Qatar Education Excellence Award 2027 are now open, running from October 1 to October 31. Candidates are encouraged to review the criteria and prepare the necessary documentation for submission through the electronic system within this period.
According to Qatar News Agency, Maryam Abdullah Al Mohannadi, CEO of the Qatar Education Excellence Award, emphasized that the award aims to honor outstanding individuals in Qatar, highlighting their achievements in science, education, and research. The award seeks to foster a culture of excellence and creativity, contributing to personal development and national progress.
Al Mohannadi noted that the objectives of the award extend beyond increasing the number of winners. The focus is on appreciating the value of excellence and its impact on individual and collective growth. She expressed hope that participation in the award would enrich candidates€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬¦¾¢ knowledge, enhance their skills, and drive them towards further potential development.
The application portal will close on October 31, 2026, with results announced on February 4, 2027. The awards ceremony is scheduled for April 18.
To facilitate the application process, the award organized virtual sessions in June, detailing nomination criteria and evaluation standards. Additionally, a session in September outlined the electronic system's application process. Applicants are encouraged to use the Help Center on the award's website for further inquiries.
In 2026, there was a substantial rise in applications, with 371 applicants marking a 34% increase over the previous year, resulting in 108 winners. This award supports Qatar's national efforts to foster excellence and innovation, contributing to the Qatar National Vision 2030.
