Openai: OpenAI announced the availability of a new artificial intelligence (AI) model dedicated to cybersecurity, a move that comes days after its competitor Anthropic announced a similar model called Mythos. The company that developed the ChatGPT application revealed that it has begun rolling out the GPT'5.4'Cyber model to discover vulnerabilities in software to enable companies and organizations to address them early.
According to Qatar News Agency, OpenAI explained that the model gives users greater flexibility in testing systems and vulnerabilities compared to previous versions. The model is currently available through a program called Trusted Access for Cyber (TAC), which the company launched in February, targeting specific customers as well as cybersecurity experts to try out its most advanced model.
This move comes as part of an accelerating race between OpenAI and Anthropic to develop more advanced AI models capable of performing complex tasks, especially in the field of programming and vulnerability detection, as both companies seek to convince organizations to adopt these technologies. Last week, Anthropic announced the Mythos model, designed to detect vulnerabilities across operating systems and web browsers, limiting its use to trusted partners such as Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and Apple to enhance the protection of their systems.
