Doha: A young Palestinian man was wounded on Sunday when Israeli occupation forces opened fire on him during a raid on Qalandia refugee camp, north of occupied Jerusalem.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Jerusalem Governorate stated that a young man was shot in the foot with live ammunition during the raid on Qalandia camp and was transferred to a hospital for treatment. The Governorate also noted that occupation forces arrested two Palestinians during the raid.
The Governorate added that occupation forces detained a number of young men while simultaneously raiding several homes and vandalizing their contents, as part of a large-scale search and arrest campaign in the camp.
Various areas of the occupied West Bank are witnessing a continuous escalation by Israeli occupation forces, who carry out almost daily raids and incursions into homes, arrests, and road closures, in addition to repeated attacks by settlers against Palestinian citizens.
