Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met on Tuesday with HE European Union Special Representative for the Gulf region Luigi Di Maio, who is visiting Qatar. During the meeting, they discussed cooperation relations between the State of Qatar and the EU and ways to support and strengthen them. They also explored the latest regional developments, particularly the diplomatic efforts to enhance security and stability in the region following the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, in addition to a number of topics of common concern.
According to Qatar News Agency, the talks focused on enhancing bilateral relations and examining strategic initiatives that could fortify collaboration between Qatar and the European Union. The officials delved into the implications of recent agreements and their potential to impact regional security dynamics. Both parties emphasized the importance of continued dialogue and cooperation to address common challenges and leverage opportunities for mutual benefit.
