Prime Minister of Qatar Engages with US Envoys on Regional Stability

Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met with US Envoys HE Steve Witkoff and HE Jared Kushner to discuss key developments in ongoing negotiations between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran. The discussions focused on the memorandum of understanding between the two nations and efforts to enhance security and stability in the region through dialogue and diplomacy.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting also covered recent regional developments, particularly the ceasefire in Lebanon. Emphasis was placed on the importance of maintaining and building upon the ceasefire to uphold Lebanon's unity, sovereignty, and stability.

HE the Prime Minister reiterated Qatar's commitment to mediation and support for all negotiation tracks stemming from the memorandum of understanding. The goal is to reach a comprehensive and sustainable solution that enhances regional security, protects the interests of its peoples, and supports international peace and security.

The US envoys expressed appreciation for Qatar's role, alongside the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, in facilitating the negotiation process. They reaffirmed the United States' dedication to continuing diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving a comprehensive agreement.
