Aichi-Nagoya:Qatar's 3x3 basketball team secured the silver medal at the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, after losing to South Korea 10-19 in the final match.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Qatari team, consisting of players Mohammed Hashim, Hamad Yassin, Nizar Mahmoud, and Mubarak Jama, had an impressive run throughout the tournament. They dominated Group C with victories over Indonesia, Chinese Taipei, and Bahrain, then proceeded to defeat Mongolia in the quarterfinals and Iran in the semifinals.
This achievement brings Qatar's total medal count at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games to five, with two golds, two silvers, and one bronze.
