Doha:The State of Qatar has firmly rejected Israeli statements about annexing parts of southern Lebanon and areas extending to the 'Yellow Line' in the Gaza Strip, calling the declarations a blatant challenge to international law and resolutions of international legitimacy.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement urging the international community to fulfill its responsibilities and pressure the Israeli government to cease its expansionist plans and settlement activities in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The Ministry reaffirmed Qatar's unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and the resilience of the Palestinian people. It emphasized the importance of ending the occupation and enabling Palestinians to achieve their legitimate rights, including the establishment of an independent state along the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital. Qatar also reiterated its steadfast support for the fraternal Republic of Lebanon and its sovereignty over its entire territory.
