Jeddah: The State of Qatar, represented by HE Minister of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs and Head of the Qatari Hajj Mission Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanem, participated in the meeting of heads of Hajj missions held in Jeddah. The gathering focused on joint coordination and early preparations for the upcoming Hajj season.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting was attended by HE Minister of Hajj and Umrah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al Rabeeah. It was part of the fifth edition of the Hajj and Umrah Services Conference and Exhibition, organized under the theme "From Makkah to the World," and patronized by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud. The event, which took place from November 9 to 12, was organized by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in partnership with the Guests of God Service Program, featuring broad participation from entities serving pilgrims from numerous Islamic countries.
The meeting focused on plans for the upcoming Hajj season, including discussions on improving services related to transportation, accommodation, crowd management, and management of the holy sites. The aim is to ensure the comfort and safety of pilgrims, facilitating their movement and performance of rituals in a secure environment.
HE Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanem praised the efforts of the Saudi government and the follow-up by HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud in enhancing the Hajj system and providing innovative facilities. He highlighted Qatar's appreciation for the Kingdom's efforts and affirmed Qatar's commitment to cooperating fully with Saudi authorities for a seamless Hajj season for Qatari pilgrims.
HE the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah reiterated the importance of adherence to established instructions and regulations by all Hajj missions, emphasizing the priority of pilgrim health and safety. He also stressed the implementation of the health card system to ensure pilgrims are free from chronic and life-threatening diseases.
