Qatar Engages in Tbilisi Forum on Peace and Sustainable Development

Tbilisi: The State of Qatar took part in the Tbilisi Regional Forum on Sustainable Development (RFSD), a two-day event held in the Georgian capital. The forum, themed 'The Role of Peace in Sustainable Socio-Economic Development,' gathered government officials, international organization representatives, and several experts interested in peace and development fields.

According to Qatar News Agency, Qatar was represented by Eng. Mohammed Hassan Al Naimi, Director-General of Doha Municipality. The forum's sessions focused on the significance of peace as an essential component for achieving sustainable development and promoting social and economic stability.

Qatar's participation in the forum is part of its strategy to strengthen its international presence in sustainable development forums. It aims to build regional relations with South Caucasus countries like Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan. This involvement also seeks to explore opportunities for partnerships and investments in development projects with social and economic aspects, thereby enhancing Qatar's role in supporting a more inclusive and sustainable urban future.
