Doha: The Qatar ExxonMobil Open men's tennis tournament has been awarded the Best ATP 500 Tournament accolade at the 2025 ATP Players' Choice Awards. This recognition marks a significant achievement for the tournament, which was previously celebrated as the Best ATP 250 Tournament six times before its elevation to the 500-point level this season.

According to Qatar News Agency, Tournament Director Karim Alami expressed pride in receiving the award, noting that it follows the tournament's history of success in the 250-point category. Alami highlighted that the continued excellence of the tournament is the result of a clear vision, dedicated teamwork, and a passion for delivering exceptional events.

Alami further emphasized that the award reflects the confidence of the players and serves as a testament to Qatar's reputation as a global sports hub, supported by its state-of-the-art facilities and high-level organizational capabilities. He acknowledged the contributions of players, fans, sponsors, and the dedicated team from various committees, especially the title sponsor, Qatar ExxonMobil.

The 2025 tournament showcased a strong lineup, featuring top tennis players such as Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic. In the singles competition, Andrey Rublev of Russia emerged victorious by defeating Jack Draper of Great Britain. Meanwhile, the doubles title was claimed by the British pair Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspole.
