Qatar: Qatar SC defeated Al Khor in straight sets on Sunday in the men's Volleyball League, which features 10 clubs and is played at the Qatar Volleyball Association's hall. With the victory, Qatar SC raised its tally to 22 points to move into fifth place, while Al Khor remained on 11 points in seventh. According to Qatar News Agency, league play continues Wednesday with two matches: Al Arabi, second with 30 points, faces Al Ahli, sixth with 18, while Al Shamal, eighth with 11, meets Police SC, fourth with 27. Al Wakrah, the league leader with 34 points, will travel to Kuwait along with Al Rayyan to compete in the fourth edition of the West Asia Volleyball Championship from February 4 to 14. In the women's competition, the youth national team beat Al Sadd 3-1. Play resumes Tuesday with three matches: Al Rayyan vs. Al Wakrah, Al Arabi vs. Al Khor, and Qatar SC vs. Al Ahli.
