Doha: Qatar Padel Federation has announced that Doha will host the Gulf Padel Championship from September 15 to 19 at the Padel In courts, with the participation of all Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Federation stated that the technical meeting and the tournament draw are scheduled for September 14. The competitions will feature three main categories: men's, women's, and juniors.
Tariq Zainal, Secretary-General of the Qatar Tennis, Squash, Padel and Badminton Federation, confirmed that the tournament will see strong competition, highlighting the significant development of Padel in the region. He extended a welcome to all participating delegations and players.
Zainal remarked that these GCC encounters are not solely about victories and defeats but also about fostering stronger bonds of brotherhood and rapprochement among the GCC countries.
He expressed hope that the Qatari Padel team would achieve commendable results, viewing this participation as a step towards showcasing the development of the game in Qatar.
