Qatari Athletics Team Gears Up for Arab Junior Athletics Championship in Tunisia

Doha: The Qatari Athletics Team is set to participate in the 11th Arab Junior Athletics Championship in Tunisia from August 23 to 27, as announced by the Qatari Athletics Federation (QAF). The team will be represented by ten athletes competing in various track and field events under the leadership of Mohammed Issa Al Fadala, President of QAF.

According to Qatar News Agency, the athletes representing Qatar include Samer Hussein in the 1500m, Timo Jumaa in the 100m and 200m, Idris Abkar and Hussein Mohammed in the 110m hurdles, Abdulrazak Idris and Abkar Idris in the 400m hurdles, Mubarak Saeed in the 1500m, Abdullah Al Abdullah and Younis Al Balushi in the pole vault, and Saleh Mahmoud in the shot put and discus throw.

QAF aims to continue achieving significant milestones in Arab tournaments, building on their recent success at the Asian tournament in South Korea last June. During that event, the team secured three gold medals, one silver medal, and two bronze medals, showcasing their competitive edge on the Asian athletics stage.
